Waterloo House Surgery – Flu Vaccination Programme 2021
The flu vaccination programme is a vital part of keeping people in our communities safe this winter; having a flu jab doesn’t just protect you; it also protects those around you. Flu spreads from person to person and people can spread the virus even when they don’t have symptoms.
This year Waterloo House Surgery is holding specific flu vaccination clinics throughout September and October that take into account social distancing and infection prevention measures to keep you safe. These clinics will work on the same system as the COVID vaccination clinics.
In relation to keeping safe, please do not attend your appointment early as there is no waiting area, please remember your face covering and where possible walk to the appointment and attend alone.
If you are age 50 or over or between 18-49 and have a health condition that puts you at increased risk, we will be inviting you to the clinics either by text or phone call and our reception team will advise you of which clinic is right for you. You can also keep your eye out on our Facebook Page, which we keep updated with dates of clinics.
Children aged 2-3 will be contacted by our health visitors who as planning the clinics for this age group Under 18-year-olds in an at-risk group eligible for the flu vaccine will be contacted in due course
Get the jab – do your bit to protect yourself and others.
